Rebecca Binns
Rebecca is currently an Associate Lecturer at London College of Communication. She received a London Research Studentship to undertake a PhD on the artist and designer Gee Vaucher of Crass. Her subsequent book, published by Manchester University Press in 2022, was the first ever monograph on Vaucher’s work. She has written articles and presented papers on Vaucher, Anne Bean, Rock Against Racism, pub rock and the Stop the City protests at events such as the Women in Revolt conference at Tate Britain and in journals such as Contemporary British History, and she co-edited a special art edition of Punk & Post Punk. In the 1990s she produced backdrops and installations for clubs, raves and free party events.
